North Coast 500 you said...? Ok then!
Well, some of it at least. In the summer of 2024 I (again!) rented a camper van from Roadsurfer and headed north!
I'd been to Scotland a few times before, but never further north than Edinburgh or Glasgow. I'd read a lot about the North Coast 500 route and was intrigued by what it had to offer. I sat down and planned my route, organised the van and set off. Obviously, this being Scotland, even though it was in July, I had to go ready for any weather - and it didn't let me down! However, even the rainy days didn't disappoint, and having the camper made even the wettest of nights, comfy and cosy!
A few highlights below. Let me know if you'd like any info on the places I stayed along the way. These photos include the mainland and the Isle of Skye.
Cardoness Castle has a special place in my heart and I was delighted to be able to visit. My Gran was an artist and painted the castle many years ago. I remember the painting from my childhood hanging in our house so it was lovely to see it in person.
